Diving In

This series explores the captivating power of color and its modulations. Playing with an extended notion of gradient, the images offer a somewhat posterized effect that brings forward the vulnerability of the paint application. The subtle – yet not invisible – transition between hues is accentuated by soft textures obtained through an additive/subtractive technique with watery pigments. Although very formal in approach, this series is also about tenderness and carefulness, here shown through soft ensembles with elusive color variations.
